From the MinimServer 2 configuration web page (see above), select the Profiles tab. What streaming device are you using (there's no mention of it in your post)?īoth BubbleUPnP and BubbleUPnP server cut down Masters tracks to 16/44.1 anyway, there is no possibility to let 24/44.1 or 24/48 passthrough to a streamer unmodified so it doesn't really matter much which streamer is used. For best apply the built in functions, please discuss in forum.

You seem to have implied that you are using an Android device to run the BubbleUPnP Android controller app, if that's what you meant by "controlled via BubbleuPnP".Īre you using the BubbleUPnP Android controller app?Īre you also, or instead, using the BubbleUPnP Server software (either on your Synology NAS or on a networked computer)? So, there's no way you'll be able to get "Tidal MQA through Minimserver". Your TIDAL access has definitely nothing to do with the MinimServer UPnP media server software and may or may not have anything to do with your Synology NAS, depending on what you meant by "controlled via BubbleuPnP". For details, see the License Options page. Some features that were available free of charge in earlier versions of MinimServer require payment of a license fee in MinimServer 2. The other benefit is that the computer becomes unnecessary with the UPnP media server running on the NAS.Īll this becomes moot, if you are not running and using MinimServer (or any other UPnP media server for that matter) on the NAS where the music files are stored and are also thinking of using the computer as the UPnP control point (eg via JRiver's GUI).From the information your have supplied, BubbleUPnP appears to be the only part of your configuration that is providing you with TIDAL access. There are important differences between MinimServer 2 and earlier versions of MinimServer. as it was said to be incompatible (I used the special App to check). This therefore doesn't burden the network with double the amount of data that JRiver as a UPnP media server running on the computer does (JRiver not only uses the network to actually provide the streaming UPnP media data to the Rendu UPnP renderer, but it also uses it to initially access the file data from the NAS's network shared folders in the first place). Minimserver and Fidelizer - minimserver only loads original modules, packages under fidelizer - posted in Computer Audio: Single PC, jplay, fidelizer, minimserver kazoo. Prior to the upgrade, I removed MinimSever 0.8.4. The main advantage of using MinimServer as the UPnP media server over JRiver is that it can potentally run on the NAS itself, so have direct access to the music files stored on it.

That is my PC will only be used to run JRiver, with all the files and audio processing NOT going through my PC.No, you should still be able to use JRiver's own library as the UPnP media server (instead of MinimServer) for the Rendu, if you wish, just make sure JRiver is not set to transcode, ie, do any audio processing on the files while they are being streamed by the Rendu. I understand that I can keep my same work flow: NAS - Router - Rendu SSR - DAC, but use JRiver as the GUI. MinimServer is a great UPnP Audio Server which provides a better way to explore your music collection with Intelligent Browsing and many more outstanding features.

Listening to files on a NAS, and using MinimServer, BubbleUPnp, and Lumin resulted in a vast improvement in SQ, but although all my files are correctly tagged in JRiver, MinimServer is extremely picky and it's display of the NAS's library is full of errors, and deletions, to the point that it's just about unusable. Previously I used JRiver on my dedicated audio PC with no problems. Hopefully I'm posting this to the correct forum.
